Meet Slava Orlov.
Slava, who joined SPARK in late 2018, comes equipped with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from VCU and an A.S. in Computer Science from TNCC. Slava’s previous stops saw him designing high-end precision testing and measuring equipment for the tobacco industry as well as top-of-the-line scientific tools for microscopy and optics. His keen eye for detail and strong desire to understand the root of any problem are essential traits for everyone on the SPARK team.
While we were slow to announce Slava’s hiring, he has been quick in making an impact by diving head-first into a number of high-profile projects for SPARK. Even when Slava is not assigned to a particular project, his curiosity has proven him eager to lend his mind to ideating on interesting problems.
In his first several months with us, Slava has proven to be a good fit technically and culturally, and we are excited to see how he challenges us as SPARK continues to evolve and grow.
