We are delighted to announce that Shane Diller joins the ranks of owners at SPARK Product Development.
Shane has been a valuable member of the SPARK team since 2020 and has consistently proven his work ethic to us and, more importantly, to our clients. This appointment reflects Shane’s professional expertise, team spirit, and his unwavering commitment to customers.
Shane has worked extremely hard since beginning his tenure with SPARK to not only uphold the engineering job he was hired to do but to look for ways to improve effectiveness of the company, provide support and mentorship to colleagues, and embody the company’s values in every client and colleague interaction. He’s played a notable role in finding creative solutions to client’s problems and excelled at managing product development projects from inception to completion. And while his engineering skills are top notch, he is frequently inspiring those around him with his entrepreneurial, can-do spirit.
“Shane has all the intangibles you want in a future leader of a company. He’s intellectually curious, dives in head first to solve challenges, is a great listener, and takes initiative to collaborate with others,” explains Philip O’Connor, fellow SPARK owner. “What distinguishes Shane is his innate ability to bridge the gap between the technical and non-technical. He’s able to speak both languages eloquently while guiding both customers and teammates through a collaborative project plan.”
Before coming to SPARK, Shane earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) followed by a five year stint at The Steward School. During his tenure, he was a pioneer in establishing the MiniMester Entrepreneurship program for the Bryan Innovation Lab and led a high school team to beat the odds in winning a college level hackathon in the design challenge at VCU’s HealthHacks. From there he returned to VCU to successfully pursue a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Shane is bringing new energy and enthusiasm to SPARK and we are fortunate to have him as part of our team.
